TES LogoDear Trevilians Families,

Here is our Trevilians Eagles' Preview for the week of August 17th to August 21st.   First, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to every parent, guardian, and student for carefully adhering to our guidelines for face coverings, social distancing, and other mitigation measures.  Your cooperation has led to a very successful first two days of in-person school! For our families attending the LCPS Virtual Academy, thank you for your flexibility and patience as we navigate technology set-up and questions.   Whether students are attending in person or virtually, we are all part of the TES family.  By continuing to work together we will have a very successful school year!

As you know, each week our A Day students will attend on Monday and Thursday and our B Day students will attend on Tuesday and Friday.  Students will learn at home three days per week and our teachers will have Office Hours where you can contact them on Wednesday.  Please reach out to teachers with any questions you have.  They are all here to help!

Parents and guardians, our arrival and dismissal procedures have gone very smoothly!  Thank you for your patience and help as we adjust to these new procedures.  Please be sure to follow our directional signs during arrival and dismissal and display your hang tag in the afternoons when you are picking up your child.   Don’t forget that all dismissal changes must be received in the office prior to noon each day.  It is in the best interest and safety of your child to have a consistent dismissal routine (bus, pick up, or parks and rec) every day they attend school.  Thank you for your help with this!

As a reminder to our families, the Virginia Department of Health guidance states that if your child has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or if your child has been in close contact (meaning been within 6 feet of  someone for more than 15 consecutive minutes) with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 your child should not come to school. Tomorrow and Tuesday we will be sending home a flyer from the VDH outlining these guidelines.  Please make sure you take a few minutes to read over this information.  Also, if your child has a fever, but not diagnosed with COVID-19 it is important to remember to keep your child at home until 72 hours have passed with no fever- including no fever reducing medication being utilized. It is important for all of us to follow these guidelines to take care of one another.

Thank you for your continued support of Trevilians Elementary!  We hope everyone has a great week!
