Trevilians Eagles Preview: Week of January 20
Posted on 01/20/2020

Hello Trevilians Families,

Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of January 20-24. Don’t forget that there will be no school, tomorrow, Monday, January 20, due to the Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday.

This week, on Tuesday, the Lego Club will meet after school until 4:15.

On Wednesday, we will have a PTA meeting from 6:00-7:00 PM at TES. As part of the meeting, we will have a visit from some of the coaches and players from the LCHS football team, who will participate in activities with students who are in attendance. So come on out to learn about the upcoming events from our PTA and to let your students have some fun with members of the LCHS football squad.

Speaking of the PTA, they are currently collecting any receipts that you might have from Amerigas. Amerigas will give money back to our PTA for all receipts that we collect, so if you purchase Amerigas tanks, send in your receipts to school and we will get them to our PTA.

It is time once again for our annual American Heart Association Fundraiser, the Kids Heart Challenge. The Kids Heart Challenge promotes community service by helping those that have heart related medical conditions. Students will also be learning about the heart during PE class. Forms and information will be going home with the students in folders on Thursday, Jan. 23, after the kick-off assembly. The last day to turn in donations will be on Friday, February 7. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Blanchard. Thank you for helping us support this important organization.

We would like to give you a Save the Date for an exciting event that will take place on Thursday, March 19th--“Family Innovation Night”. Come out for this free event, where you can visit a planetarium, drive a race car simulator, make slime, ride a HoverCraft, and so much more. The annual LCPS event includes a pizza dinner and will be held at Louisa County High School from 5-7pm. We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the possibilities.

We also want to give you a heads up on our First Semester Awards Ceremony. Those will take place for all grade levels next week on Thursday, January 30. Teachers will soon be sending home notes to parents for all students who will be receiving awards at the ceremonies. Here are the times for each grade-level ceremony. Each ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes.

10:00 AM - 2nd Grade
