Hello Trevilians Families,
Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of August 31-September 4.
This week, on Tuesday night at 6:00 PM, our PTA will have their first general meeting of the year in the school cafeteria. Here you will be able to volunteer for upcoming events and see how you can be more involved in your PTA!
On Wednesday, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will attend STEAM Day at the Fredericksburg Nationals baseball game. Buses will leave TES by 8:30, so please make sure you arrive at school on time. We will return by 2:30. It is supposed to be a very hot day on Wednesday, so please make sure your student is prepared for the heat. A reminder list will be sent home this week, which will include tips such as: putting sunscreen on your students, having them wear a hat and sunglasses, and providing them with a full water bottle to bring with them. We will stay vigilant on Wednesday in regards to the heat and our students’ safety and will take precautions at the game as necessary, and if there are any changes to the trip, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Starting on Wednesday, outside food will be allowed to be brought to school for students’ birthdays. Please make sure you notify Nurse Barlow at least 48 hours in advance and provide her with a list of ingredients of the treat you are providing. Please remember - store-bought items only.

When your child is absent, please send a note with your child when they return to school. You may also email the school at [email protected] to excuse your child’s absence. We appreciate your help with this.
Tomorrow, students in grades K-5 will be bringing home Remote Learning Packets. These packets are for you to keep at home in the event that the school division calls for a Remote Learning Day due to missing excessive days of school as a result of inclement weather. Students do not need to complete the assignments in the packets now. We will notify students when to complete these packets if the need arises this school year.
If you have not completed the online back-to-school paperwork for your returning student, please do so as soon as possible. This will provide us with the most accurate information pertaining to your child, and it also includes the technology authorized use form, which must be signed in order for students to continue to be able to use their devices. As a result, if this information is not complete by September 11, students' device use will be suspended until everything is complete. Also, if you would like to purchase device insurance and haven’t already done so, please send in your $20 as soon as possible.

As a reminder, there will be no school for students next Monday, September 7, due to the Labor Day holiday.
