Principal's Update

Hello Trevilians Families,

Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of November 6-10.

This week, there will be no school for students on Monday, November 6, and Tuesday, November 7.  Students will return to school on Wednesday, November 8.

Since we will not be in school Monday or Tuesday, there will be no ice cream sales this week.

Extended Learning continues this week.  We will have Extended Learning on Wednesday after school until 4:45.

This Friday will be Red, White, and Blue Day as we celebrate Veterans' Day, which is on Saturday, November 11.

We want to thank those of you who have already RSVP’d for our Math Night on Thursday, November 9, from 5-7 PM, presented by Title I. At this event, you'll learn how you and your child can practice basic fact fluency through games that you can take home with you! You'll also have a chance to win the treats in our estimation jars and some fun board games! Finally, you won't have to cook dinner since we'll enjoy pizza following our game play. If you haven’t already RSVP’d online, please be sure to RSVP by tomorrow afternoon, Monday, as we will need to base our pizza numbers on the number of RSVP’s we have.  You can RSVP at bit.ly/TESmathnight or by using the QR Code on the flyer that was sent home.  You can still attend without an RSVP, but you will only be able to get pizza if you RSVP by tomorrow.

Starting this week, our TES Honor Society will be holding a food drive for the Louisa Resource Council.  The food drive will last from Wednesday, November 8 until Tuesday, November 21.  A flyer was sent home on Friday with a list of items that we will be collecting, but any non-perishable food item would be appreciated, including:  canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meat, canned beans, macaroni and cheese cups, Ramen noodles, juice pouches, bottled water, chips, crackers, granola bars, and pasta.  We appreciate your help and kindness in ensuring that no one has to be hungry this Thanksgiving.

We want to thank all of you who have been participating in our school-wide fundraiser.  We have raised just over $1,000 so far.  We appreciate your support in helping us raise money for our students and school programs.  We have one week left, so it’s not too late to get started or to sell some more items.  To participate, just follow these 3 easy steps:

–Register at www.ShopFund.com

–Share custom support links with family and friends via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, or text.

–Try to get at least 5 online supporters.  By sharing, you get tickets for chances to win over $100,000 in instant prizes.

We hope you all had an excellent weekend, and we hope you have a great week this week.
