Hello Trevilians Families,
Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of May 11-15.
Attendance Academy will take place this week on Monday and Tuesday until 4:45. Extended Learning and Chorus are finished for the year.
SOL testing will continue this week with make-up tests or retakes. Students, don’t forget to get a good night’s sleep the night before your test, and make sure you get to school on time and get some breakfast before your test.
Speaking of end-of-year tests, all of our students in grades K-5 will be taking various types of assessments over the next few weeks in order to measure their progress this year in reading, math, writing, and other areas. As always, it is extremely important for all students to attend school regularly so teachers can prepare them for these assessments and so students can show how much they have learned this year.
With so many end-of-year events taking place during the school day over the next few weeks, we want to remind you of our visiting and check-out procedures. Family members coming for an event or awards ceremony will go through our Open Gate system. If a family member is checking out a student to leave with them after these events, he/she must show a driver’s license and be on the student’s pick-up list. If someone who is not on the student’s pick-up list will be signing out a student, parents should contact the office to put that adult on the pick-up list.
This week we will have our Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair from Monday through Thursday. Students will attend the Book Fair during Resource classes. Check out the flyer that was sent home last week.
On Tuesday, we will have our TES Honor Society Banquet at 6:00 in the TES cafeteria. We are excited to honor our Honor Society students for all of their accomplishments this year.
On Wednesday, our 4th Grade students will host their VA History Wax Museum from 1:00-2:30 in our cafeteria.
Also on Wednesday, Ms. Alston’s class will host their Publishing Party from 5:30-6:30 in the cafeteria.
On Thursday, our PK classes will go on their field trip to LCHS.
Friday night is graduation night at LCHS. We want to congratulate all of our former TES students, and all of the LCHS seniors, who are graduating on Friday night.
Our “ABC Countdown to Summer” continues this week with letters “R” through “V”. Highlights for this week include Silly Sock Day on Tuesday, T-shirt Day on Wednesday, and USA Day (wear red, white, and blue) on Thursday.
