Hello Trevilians Families,
Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of May 18-22.
Well, TES families, we have made it to the end of the year! We want to thank all of you for a fantastic 2025-26 school year! Students, we appreciate your hard work over the past 10 months, and we’re proud of the progress and accomplishments you have made this year. Parents, we want to thank you for supporting your children and our staff throughout the year. We also want to say thank you and good luck to our 5th graders as they leave us and head off to LCMS next year.
Even though we only have 3 1/2 days left, it is extremely important to finish the year strong by attending school every day. Grade levels have plans for field trips, picnics, award ceremonies, and other fun activities, so students, you’ll want to make sure you’re here every day to participate in those and to receive your report cards and other end-of-the-year paperwork.
With so many end-of-year events taking place during the school day this week, we want to remind you of our visiting and check-out procedures. Family members coming for an event or awards ceremony will go through our Open Gate system. If a family member is checking out a student to leave with them after these events, he/she must show a driver’s license and be on the student’s pick-up list. If someone who is not on the student’s pick-up list will be signing out a student, parents should contact the office to put that adult on the pick-up list.
Nurse Barlow has a message for all families who have medication in the clinic. Please pick up all medication this week. Medication will not be sent home with students, and it must be picked up by an adult. If the medication is not picked up, it will be thrown away. If you have concerns about picking up your medication this week, please contact Nurse Barlow.
On Monday, our 3rd and 4th graders will go on their field trips.
Also on Monday, our kindergarten students will have their Water Party.
On Tuesday, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will have their end-of-the-year celebrations.
Thursday will be an 11:00 dismissal. Lunch will not be served on Thursday, and students will bring home their report cards on Thursday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will have our award ceremonies and our 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony.
Our “ABC Countdown to Summer” continues this week with letters “W” through “Z”. Highlights for this week include “Western Wear Day” on Monday and “Zoom into Summer Day” on Thursday!
We are excited to announce that LCPS is still accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the 2026-2027 school year. If your child is four years old by September 30, 2026, he or she may be eligible to enroll in our preschool program, and if he or she is five years old by September 30, 2026, he or she is eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Please call 540-603-9290 or visit preschool.lcps.k12.va.us to get either application started!
The Kindness Closet will be open this week on Wednesday from 3:30-5:00.
We hope you enjoy your last week of school, and we hope everyone has a fantastic summer. We’ll be back in touch with all of you near the middle/end of July, which is when we will send out information about your teacher for next year and the date and time for Open House. Until then, take care, and we look forward to seeing all of you in August!
Mr. Black
