Hello Trevilians Families,
Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of September 9-13.
Thank you to all of you who have completed your back-to-school information online. If you have not yet done so, please check your email (and your Spam folder) for an email from PowerSchool. All students must have this information completed each year. This information must be completed by September 20 in order for students to be able to continue to use LCPS devices, as it includes the Technology Acceptable Use form. If you have any questions about this, please contact our office.
This Wednesday, September 11, will be Red, White, and Blue Day in honor of Patriots Day.
On Friday night, our 5th graders have been offered the opportunity to hold the flag during the Star Spangled Banner at the first LCHS home football game of the year. 5th graders, if you are interested in participating, don’t forget to turn in your permission forms this week.
Interim reports will be sent home this Friday for all 1st-5th graders.
Also on Friday, we will have our first TeamLCPS Green and Gold Day! Join us for this Spirit Day by wearing your green and gold!
We would like to thank everyone who has participated in our beginning of the year fundraiser through SchoolStore. So far 246 of our students have participated, raising over $1,000 for our school and providing teachers with thousands of dollars in SchoolStore money for supplies for their classrooms. We are only 78 students away from our goal of 324 participants, and it’s not too late to participate. Just use the information you received and register online, and if you do, your child will also receive an exciting Book Buddy slap bracelet!
Last week, you received a flyer with information about our annual TES Back to School Cookout. The cookout will take place on Tuesday, September 17, from 5:00-7:00 PM on our soccer field. Come out and join us for a free dinner, games, bounce houses, and more! There will also be snow cones, popcorn, and a silent auction from our PTA. We will start with our annual Title I presentation in the cafeteria at 5:00 where you will then get your tickets for dinner. Please send back the RSVP as soon as you can so we can prepare for the event. All family members are welcome!
Save the date! On Wednesday, September 18th, from 9 AM to 10 AM, we're throwing a special celebration for Constitution Day! Our nation honors the signing of the U.S. Constitution annually on September 17, 1787, and we're inviting our students to dive into the exciting world of local government and learn why it matters. Check out the LCPS Constitution Day flyer for all the important details, or call us if you have any questions. Childcare will be offered at all schools on that day, and they will be taking those students to the event as well. We can't wait to see you there for this exciting celebration!
The TES Kindness Closet is once again open for business! The Kindness Closet will be open every Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 PM. All families are welcome to come by and look for clothes for any of your children. If you have any questions about the Kindness Closet or want to notify someone ahead of time for your visit, please feel free to reach out to our counselor, Ms. Rudd.
Those are all of our announcements for the week. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions. Have a great week, Eagles!
Mr. Black
