Hello Trevilians Families,

Here is the Trevilians Eagles Preview for the week of March 2-6.

Attendance Academy and Extended Learning will take place this week on Monday and Tuesday from 3:15-4:45. Chorus will take place on Tuesday from 3:15-4:45.

The annual PTA coffee fundraiser continues this week! You can check out the Trevilians' PTA Facebook page for details.

Tomorrow, Monday, will be Class Picture Day.

4th and 5th grade students - you will begin using your recorders this week in music class, so don’t forget to bring your recorders to school.

This week is Read Across America Week, and to celebrate, we will be having a reading-related Spirit Week. A flyer was sent home on Friday with the details, and here are the highlights:

Monday - Marvelous Monday - dress to impress - it’s Picture Day!

Tuesday - T-shirt Tuesday - wear a shirt that has a quote, a book character, or a word to read on it!

Wednesday - Wacky Hat Wednesday - wear your favorite hat!

Thursday - Toe-tally Sock Thursday - wear your favorite crazy socks!

Friday - Favorite Book Friday - bring your favorite book and/or dress as your favorite book character!

This week, the Honor Society will begin selling lollipops and pencil charms to raise money for the Hooves and Paws organization as part of their community service. Lollipops and pencil charms will be sold two for $1.00 and can be purchased in the morning after students report to their homeroom classes.

This week, we will hold a Severe Weather Drill where we practice with students what to do if we have to shelter-in-place due to a hurricane, tornado, or other type of severe weather. Teachers will review the procedures with students before the drill.

On Friday, our 3rd grade TAG students will go on their field trip.

Last Friday, we revealed the book for our One Book, One Louisa journey. We are excited to begin this remarkable reading, Stuart Little, with you! Use the information that was sent home with the book to follow along. Chapter 1 starts tomorrow! The Title I Family Movie Night is coming soon! Please join us to watch Stuart Little with your family! The annual event includes a snack and family fun and will be held at the Goochland Drive-In on Tuesday, March 24th, and Wednesday, March 25th. Just like last year, families will be given vouchers for snacks at the Goochland Snack Shack! Please arrive early to avoid concession lines. The doors will open at 5:30 PM each evening. Second grade families - The 2nd Grade Learn To Swim program will continue this week on Friday. Students in Mrs. Seay’s and Mrs. Lewis' classes will leave TES by 8:40 and will return at 1:00, and Mrs. Davenport’s and Ms. Dutton's classes and Ms. Reid's second graders will leave TES by 10:30 and will return by 2:30. Students will need to bring the following with them on each trip: swimsuit (please put this on at home on the day of the field trip), bag for wet swimsuit, towel, and a lunch if you are bringing it from home. If you have any questions about this trip, please feel free to contact Mrs. Blanchard.

We are excited to announce that LCPS is accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the 2026-2027 school year. If your child is four years old by September 30, 2026, he or she may be eligible to enroll in our preschool program, and if he or she is five years old by September 30, 2026, he or she is eligible to enroll in kindergarten. The Kindness Closet will be open this Wednesday from 3:30-5:00.

Here is a message from Louisa County Middle School for the parents of our current 5th graders:

We are excited to welcome your student to LCMS as a Bobcat! LCMS is hosting a Rising 6th Grade Parent Night! Please join us on the evening designated for your child's current elementary school:

Tuesday, March 17th at 6:00 PM: Trevilians Elementary (TES) and Moss-Nuckols Elementary (MNES). The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at LCMS.

During Parent Night, we will cover:

-Exploratory course offerings, including band and chorus

-The course selection and scheduling process

-Basic FAQs about starting middle school

-Presentations from teachers and school staff

-Refreshments will be provided!

Greetings TES Families! Today, we are excited to share with you our school supplies lists for the 2025-2026 school year. We hope these lists will be helpful to you as you prepare for the exciting, upcoming year at TES!

As an important note, with the installation of weapons detectors at our school, we also would like to provide you with a few updates that will help guide you as you make your purchases in the near future:

- All three-ring binders should be 1.5 inches or less.
- When possible, please use plastic water bottles. If you do purchase metal water bottles, please opt for small/medium-sized bottles.
- Please avoid purchasing wheeled, rolling backpacks if possible.
- Please do not purchase adult-sized scissors. Instead, opt for blunt, small/medium-sized scissors.
