Hello Trevilians Families,
Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! I am proud to be entering my 12th year here as principal at TES, and I know that this year is going to be the best one yet! I look forward to working with all of our students and families throughout the 2026-27 school year.
This year, I will be entering my 32nd year in education. After growing up in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania and graduating from Grove City College (PA), I began my teaching career as a 6th-grade teacher right here at TES! I then spent the next 11 years as a 6th-grade English and math teacher at LCMS. While I was there, I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UVA and my Educational Leadership degree from VCU. I also coached basketball and soccer at LCHS. I then left Louisa to begin my career as an administrator, and I have been an assistant principal and principal for the past 19 years.
Besides being an educator, I am the proud father of two girls–Margaret, who works in Richmond and is a graduate of Christopher Newport University, and Caroline, who just graduated from the Bon Secours School of Nursing and also lives in Richmond. I live in Goochland with my wife, who is a counselor, and our two dogs, Sadie and Daisy.
When I am not working at TES, I like to exercise, play sports, and watch sports. If you ever come into my office, you’ll know that I’m a big sports fan, and some of my favorite teams are the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the world champion New York Knicks!
I look forward to seeing all of our returning students this year and getting to know all of our new students. If there is anything I can do to help you have a successful year at TES, please let me know!

Hello dear families,
Welcome back! This year will be my 16th year in Louisa and 5th year at Trevilians. It has been an adventure to be here and a delight to get to know our learners and their families. I look forward to what the 2026-27 school year brings.
Being an assistant principal has been an exciting experience, even more so than all my years of teaching. I started teaching in Clarke County, Virginia 25 years ago and my, how things have changed over the years. Louisa County has always been on the cutting edge of technology and best practices for instruction so that all may learn. Our learning community continues to look ahead and strive to reach new heights in achievement and greatness. I’m proud to be a part of Team LCPS.
This past year, my eldest son and his wife became parents, and my husband and I became grandparents. Talk about an adventure - I had forgotten how quickly the little ones grow and move! My other son is in Alabama working with the DIA and enjoying the deep south growing season. I look forward to traveling there to visit this fall. My daughter lives and works in the Queen City of Staunton. We enjoy gardening and going to the shops and restaurants downtown.

Welcome back, Eagles! I am honored to be entering my 8th year in education, and my second year as Administrative Intern for Trevilians Elementary. I am excited to be working with all of the TES students and families again this year. It has been a joy getting to know everyone this past school year.
I have lived in Louisa County all my life, I am a 1997 graduate of Louisa County High School, and I am honored to serve this district as an Administrator for Trevilians. Before entering education, I worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Louisa County Circuit Court. When I had my son in 2013, I stayed home for 5 years with my two children. When my son was entering kindergarten, I began working as an Instructional Assistant at Jouett Elementary. During that time, I received my Bachelor's Degree, through Liberty University, in Special Education, and worked as a Special Education teacher for 4 years, and decided to pursue a Master's in Educational Administration. It has been a true honor and privilege to serve in this role as an Administrator.
A little about me: I am the proud parent of 2 children, my daughter Melinda, who just graduated high school this past year, and my son Nathan, who will be entering the 7th grade. My daughter will be pursuing a degree in Christian Counseling through Liberty University, and is currently working at the Mineral Merchantile in the Town of Mineral. How exciting! I live in the Town of Mineral with my husband, Hank, our two children, and our cats!
