Hello Trevilians Families,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! I am proud to be entering my 101h year here as principal at TES, and I know that this year is going to be the best one yet! I look forward to working with all of our students and families throughout the 2025-26 school year.
I am excited to be entering my 31st year in education. After graduating from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, I began my teaching career as a 6th-grade teacher right here at TES! I then spent the next 11 years as a 6th-grade English and math teacher at LCMS. While I was there, I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UVA and my Educational Leadership degree from VCU. I then left Louisa to begin my career as an administrator, and I have been an assistant principal and principal for the past 18 years.
Besides being an educator, I am the proud father of two girls–Margaret, who works in Norfolk and is a graduate of Christopher Newport University, and Caroline, who is entering her final year in the Bon Secours School of Nursing. I live in Goochland with my wife, who is a counselor, and our two dogs, Sadie and Daisy.
When I am not working at TES, I like to exercise, play sports, and watch sports. If you ever come into my office, you’ll know that I’m a big sports fan,, and some of my favorite teams are the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Georgia Bulldogs!
I look forward to seeing all of our returning students this year and getting to know all of our new students. If there is anything I can do to help you have a successful year at TES, please let me know!

Hello dear families,
Welcome back! This year will be my 15th year in Louisa and 4th year at Trevilians. It has been an adventure to be here and a delight to get to know our learners and their families. I look forward to what the 2025-26 school year brings.
Being an assistant principal has been an exciting experience, even more so than all my years of teaching. I started teaching in Clarke County, Virginia 25 years ago and my, how things have changed over the years. Louisa County has always been on the cutting edge of technology and best practices for instruction so that all may learn. Our learning community continues to look ahead and strive to reach new heights in achievement and greatness. I’m proud to be a part of Team LCPS.
This year, my oldest son and his wife will become parents and that will make me a first time grandmother. Talk about adventure! So many of you at Trevilians have shared your stories about being grandparents, I look forward to creating the same kind of memories. My other son has moved to Alabama to work with the DIA and be near his girlfriend. I look forward to having the opportunity to travel there to visit. My daughter lives and works in the Queen City of Staunton. We enjoy gardening and going to the shops and restaurants downtown.
Please reach out and let me know how I can be of service to you. Trevilians is a place where families are welcome and needed to help our learners be successful citizens. I look forward to seeing you here.
